Harry/Ginny

Gily Anne's Essay

Harry/Ginny shippers get a lot of flack because we have only so much of Ginny to work with, but Gily Ann made an essay that shows us how much of Ginny we all truely neglect to see. Please read it for some really interesting information.

All of the Millitant H/Hrs seem to have this stubborn view that Harry and Hermione are meant to be together because she is the only fleshed out female character, so far. They seem to neglect to concider that Ginny will be a major character as of Fifth Book.

Second, they should realize the balance that is in order. You have four major characters in this. Harry, Hermoine, Ron and Ginny. If Harry and Hermione are together, they throw the balance of everything. Ron is left with Ginny and THEY can't get together because that would be incest. Ron needs to be with and equally major character, as does Ginny, to balance everything back out again.

And Don't say Ginny could end up with Draco, because you know that's not true. If anything, Ginny is more likely to kill the guy before the first kiss. If not her, then pick one of her many brother brothers, who would gladly beat the crap out of the boy for even PRETENDING to like her.

Anyway, read that essay for as much proof as you dare to throw around. There is a compilation of posts about the Ship H/G on SugarQuill.net. Follow the link to read it.

Ron/Hermione

As stated before, the balance of the Trio is in order.

If you take away Ron or Hermoine, Harry is thrown out of balance, because they balance HIM out. They also balance eachother out. Anyone who actually reads the books could see this, and anyone who watches the movies will see how well Rupert and Emma protray it.

Hermione is the cool logic of the group. She is the keeper of the book knowledge for the trio. Despite the fact that she does have a tendency to fall to pieces under stressful situations, she keeps Harry on his toes when he needs information.

Ron is the laid-back one of the group. He makes sure that Harry has fun and keeps Hermione from going overboard. He's brave when he needs to be, so you don't have to worry about whether or not he'll be there for you.

Together, Ron and Hermione make the perfect pair. They lay everything out in front of them and solve their problems that way. Where as, Harry and Hermione don't do that. They don't bicker, but they don't solve any problems they have with eachother either. Hermione needs challenges to keep her functioning normally and Ron needs someone to rein him in when he gets too many wild ideas.
